Job Title: Sterile Processing Tech (SPT) Surgical Services Location: Largo, MD Setting: Hospital Pay Range: 1024.03 - 1075.23 Schedule: 07:00 - 15:30 (5x8 Days, Tuesday-Saturday; every other weekend rotating may be required) Contract Length: 13 weeks Candidate Type: Traveler Requirements: CBSPD; CRCST; IAHCSMM/HPSA (either certification acceptable); 2 years minimum experience; first-time travelers accepted; acute hospital OR experience; cleaning equipment and disinfectants; HLD; use of washers and sterilizers; case cart preparation; proper selection of wrapping materials; sterilization wrapping procedures; sets/trays assembly; equipment documentation; experience with ear/nose/throat, general, OB/GYN, orthopedics, plastics, and urology; biological indicators; chemical indicators; IUSS; stem sterilization

Responsibilities:

Clean equipment using appropriate disinfectants and HLD processes.
Operate washers and sterilizers and complete required equipment documentation.
Assemble sets and trays and select appropriate wrapping materials.
Perform sterilization wrapping procedures and use biological and chemical indicators.
Support surgical services across applicable specialty areas and assigned locations.
