Warehouse Clerk - Georgia International Convention Center

Job Details Job Location: Georgia International Conv Center — College Park, GA 30337 Proof of the Pudding (POP) is proud to provide the food and beverage services at the Georgia International Convention Center. POP offers fine‑quality concessions and catering for meetings, exhibition hall booths, conventions, and special events. The Georgia International Convention Center includes a 9,800 square‑foot state‑of‑the‑art culinary arts center and Georgia's largest ballroom at 40,000 squareft. We are looking for multiple Warehouse Associates to receive, sort, and organize incoming orders, equipment, and product. This position is responsible for assisting the moving and organization of product to maximize kitchen efficiency for each event. The Warehouse Team will work with the Chefs and Operations Team to organize and identify items, prepare kitchen distribution, double‑check inventories, and help distribute product for event days. Essential Responsibilities Assist with the receiving of shipments, monitoring inventory, and sorting product Check product in by comparing shipment to order invoice Organize invoices and assist with the PO process Help organize large deliveries multiple times per day Organize the prepared food storage trucks Operate food‑service equipment in a safe manner Store, label, and date all food items according to health code and the Culinary Team’s instructions Receive finished product from kitchen, safely store in compliance with Proof and Health Department procedures, inventory each item to meet production numbers Pull and organize stock in accordance with culinary pull sheets, communicating shorts to culinary lead Plan to fill shorts and/or day‑of menu items and execute distribution of items to locations Clear storage locations post‑event, inventory excess product, separate returns from donations Clean and maintain the cleanliness of walk‑in coolers and freezers, loading dock area, and dry storage Work with Culinary team to line up donation company for post‑event, oversee process and communication Perform other related duties as required Qualifications Experience & Specialized Skills Experience in a high‑volume food distribution role is required; experience in stadiums, arenas, concerts, and large‑scale event centers is comparable ServSafe certified is preferred Familiarity with invoices and managing inventory Comfortable commuting to College Park, GA Specialized Qualifications Flexibility and a positive attitude Ability to work independently and proactively Knowledge of best food safety practices Strong organization and communication skills Core Value and Competency Requirements Business Acumen – Demonstrate comprehension of the job, policies, practices, and relationships; possess the expertise and skill levels required; perform with quality Dedication – Dependable, reliable, and follow through on projects from inception to completion; willing to put in as much time as necessary; demonstrate a win‑win attitude: see it, own it, solve it Ethics and Integrity – Act with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promote the company’s culture, values, and beliefs while maintaining the highest standards of conduct Safety & Security – Observe safety and security standards; use equipment and materials properly; comply with safety standards and personal protective equipment; report potential unsafe conditions promptly; promote safety, cleanliness, and security compliance at all times Teamwork – Cooperate and be willing to work as a team player to achieve goals and tasks accurately, efficiently, and timely Communication – Communicate clearly and effectively with mutual respect, understanding, and trust; listen carefully to opinions and views of others; understand what has been heard Initiative – Contribute new ideas and suggestions to enhance productivity and efficiency; be proactive in troubleshooting problems or issues and take action to mitigate potential problems Adaptability & Planning – Possess the ability to learn new tasks and adjust well to new situations; perform well under tight schedules and pressures to change direction quickly Service Orientation – Demonstrates a sense of urgency; is welcoming, friendly, and smiles when visible to guests Work Environment This position is often outside on the loading dock or in storage areas that can be refrigerated or for frozen storage. This role is highly physical with an emphasis on organization and moving products in a fast‑paced work environment. It may utilize a golf cart, hand carts, and pallet jacks.
