Support Technician / Help Desk and Operations

job summary:
Position Title: Support Technician 1 (Technical Services, Help Desk and Operations)

(2) Level 1 Support Technicians, hereafter referred to as Candidate(s), who meet the general qualifications of Support Technician, Technical Services, Help Desk and Operations. May include pre-selection requirements that potential Vendors (and their Candidates) submit to and satisfy criminal background checks as authorized by Texas law.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with the manual labor and support required for a computer and docking station refresh project.

Perform day-to-day work of imaging machines, replacing computers, and migrating user data.

Work as part of a team alongside an agency subject matter expert and a project manager.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience (1+ Years Required):

Maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, moving, and installing computer systems, hardware, and software.

Knowledge of personal computers, components, microcomputer terms, and Windows Operating Systems.

Experience using MS Office Suite and WordPerfect.

Providing technical assistance, handling multiple tasks, and delivering customer service.

Ability to lift and relocate up to 30 lbs.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Skill:

Windows 11 technical support experience.

• Provide technical assistance and support for applications and hardware problems
• Install, maintain, move, and assist in testing and upgrading new and existing hardware and software
• Maintain necessary security controls over software
• Provide technical customer service and lift/relocate up to 30 lbs
• Access data from and transfer data to various local, state, or federal databases
• The Candidate(s) may be required to work outside the normal business hours on weekends, evenings and holidays, as requested. Payment for work over 40 hours will be at the hourly rate quoted and must be coordinated and pre-approved
