Salary: $83,000 - 123,000 per year Requirements:

• We require at least one year of experience handling multiple tasks, prioritizing work, meeting deadlines, and collaborating professionally.
• We require knowledge of personal computers, components, printers, microcomputer terminology, computer operations, information systems, hardware and software, and information security policies and procedures.
• We require at least one year of experience maintaining, analyzing, troubleshooting, and repairing computer systems, hardware, and peripherals, and documenting service work.
• We require at least one year of experience providing technical support for applications and hardware, installing and upgrading hardware and software, and maintaining software security controls.
• We require strong customer service, oral and written communication, and the ability to operate and troubleshoot information technology systems.
• We require experience with WordPerfect and the Microsoft Office suite, along with working knowledge of Windows operating systems.
• We require the ability to lift and relocate 30 pounds.
• We require a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Windows 11 technical support experience is preferred but not required.
• The selection process may require candidates to submit to and pass criminal background checks as authorized by Texas law.

• Support the manual work involved in our computer and docking-station refresh project, including imaging computers, replacing equipment, and migrating data.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, move, test, and upgrade computer systems, hardware, peripherals, and software.
• Prepare or assist with service-record documentation and help maintain security controls over software.
• Provide technical assistance with applications and hardware, and assist users with systems, subsystems, and software applications.
• As needed, access data from and transfer data to local, state, or federal databases.

We are the Office of the Attorney General of Texas, seeking a Support Technician 1 for a technical services, help desk, and operations assignment. The technician will join a team that includes an agency subject matter expert and a project manager who coordinates and leads the computer and docking-station refresh; our agency will provide the process to follow. Project work products will be considered works made for hire and will belong to our office. We do not pay fees for interviews or candidate-selection discussions.
