Customer Service Representative / Shipping Clerk

Location: Inglewood, CA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Pay: $25.00 per hour

About the Role

We are seeking a dependable, organized, and self-motivated Customer Service Representative to join our team in Inglewood. This position serves as a key point of contact between our company and our customers, ensuring exceptional service through timely communication, order management, and cross-departmental collaboration.

Reporting directly to the Office Manager, this role works closely with multiple departments—including Sales, Purchasing, Warehouse Operations, and Executive Management—to support daily operations and maintain customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities

• Answer and place phone calls with customers regarding order inquiries, shipment updates, and follow-up requests.
• Coordinate and adjust delivery schedules to meet customer needs.
• Process, match, and organize customer orders, purchase orders, and related documentation.
• Gather certifications and customer-requested documentation.
• Provide clerical and administrative support to multiple departments.
• File and maintain accurate customer and company records.
• Organize, retrieve, and move files or boxes weighing up to 15 pounds.
• Maintain accurate customer records using CRM/CSR software.
• Communicate effectively with internal departments to ensure timely order fulfillment.

 

Qualifications

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
• Comfortable learning and navigating CRM/CSR software.
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-starter with a proactive attitude and strong initiative.
• Clear and legible handwriting for document completion when required.
• Ability to lift and move boxes weighing up to 15 pounds.
• U.S. citizenship is required due to work involving U.S. national defense programs.
• May be subject to background check and pre-employment drug screening.

Preferred

• Experience within the aviation, aerospace, or fastener industry.
• Familiarity with aerospace documentation, certifications, or distribution environments.
• 3+ Years of experience in a Customer Service/Office environment.
