This role sits at the intersection of financial analysis, strategic planning, investor communications, and external stakeholder engagement, helping transform complex financial information into actionable insights and compelling business narratives.We are looking for a highly analytical finance professional who combines strong financial modeling capabilities with exceptional communication and project management skills. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable building a forecast model, developing executive-level presentations, coordinating cross-functional initiatives, and supporting interactions with lenders, ratings agencies, and private equity sponsors.This role offers significant visibility across the organization and an opportunity to influence strategic decision-making at the highest levels of the business.ResponsibilitiesStrategic Finance & Financial AnalysisDevelop and maintain financial models supporting budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, scenario analysis, and strategic initiativesPerform analyses on key business drivers, profitability, growth trends, and enterprise performancePartner with Finance leadership to evaluate risks, opportunities, and potential business outcomesTranslate complex financial information into clear recommendations for executive decision-makingSupport monthly, quarterly, and annual planning processes across the organizationExecutive Communications & Business StorytellingPrepare executive-ready presentations and financial communications for senior leadershipSynthesize financial and operational results into concise, actionable narrativesSupport development of materials for Board meetings, lender presentations, Executive Leadership Team discussions, and other high-visibility forumsEnsure consistency of messaging across planning, reporting, and external communicationsExternal Stakeholder SupportCoordinate and support recurring and ad hoc requests from lenders, ratings agencies, private equity sponsors, and other external stakeholdersPrepare financial analyses, presentation materials, FAQs, and supporting documentation for external meetings and diligence activitiesPartner with Finance, Treasury, Legal, Accounting, and business leaders to gather, validate, and communicate information effectivelyAnticipate stakeholder questions and proactively develop supporting analyses and responsesCross-Functional Coordination & Program ManagementManage project plans, communication timelines, and deliverables related to quarterly lender processes, ratings reviews, and diligence processesCoordinate across multiple teams to ensure timely and accurate completion of key deliverablesDrive accountability and follow-through across stakeholders while maintaining strong working relationshipsProcess Improvement & Organizational ImpactIdentify opportunities to improve modeling processes, reporting quality, and communication effectiveness (including the use of AI for model audits, forecasting, etc.)Enhance the efficiency and scalability of finance deliverables through improved workflows and toolsHelp elevate the quality, consistency, and professionalism of FP&A outputs across the organizationSupport special projects and strategic initiatives as requiredRequirementsBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field8-10 years of experience in Investment Banking, Consulting, Strategic Finance, Investor Relations, Corporate Finance, or a related disciplineAdvanced financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skillsUnderstanding of the capital market landscape, specifically within the Private Equity and Direct Lending marketsStrong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint – experience preparing executive-level or Board-ready materialsExceptional written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated ability to translate complex analyses into clear business insights and executive narrativesExperience managing multiple priorities and delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environmentStrong collaboration and influencing skills with the ability to work effectively across functions and levelsPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting lender relations, ratings agencies, debt financing activities, investor relations, or private equity sponsorsBackground in financial services, wealth management, asset management, consulting, investment banking, or strategic financeFamiliarity with planning and reporting tools / languages such as Power BI, Anaplan, Hyperion, SQL, or similar systemsEdelman Financial Engines takes a market-based approach to pay. The expected base salary range for this role nationally is below. However, final base pay will be carefully determined based on several factors, including responsibilities, job-related skills, relevant experience, geographic location, and market conditions. Additionally, this role may be eligible for other forms of compensation and benefits, such as a discretionary bonus, health, dental and other wellness plans, and 401(k) contributions.Pay Range$106,400 - $156,000 USD
