Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a VA or compact RN license and at least one year of ED experience.

Details

• Non-Trauma General Emergency Department serving combined adult and pediatric patients
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-07:00
• Every other weekend required
• Meditech charting system preferred

Requirements

• Active VA or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department experience required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS, and PALS required; TNCC preferred
• Skilled in IV therapy/phlebotomy, blood product administration, EKG reading/monitoring, and CVA care
• Proficient in triage and maintaining PPE/isolation precautions
• Meditech charting experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide emergency care to critically ill and injured patients across adult and pediatric populations
• Utilize the latest monitoring equipment within a comfortable, private treatment room setting
• No previous permanent employment with the facility within the past 24 months allowed
• Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted
• RTO must align with holiday coverage requirements based on the number of holidays falling within the assignment
• General RN orientation occurs every other Monday
• Zero-tolerance drug policy in effect; medical marijuana cards are not accepted
• Drug screening required both during compliance and again on day one onsite
• Fit testing required; candidates must be clean-shaven or provide an approved medical exemption letter prior to starting
• First-time travelers may be considered depending on level of ED experience
