McDonald's General Manager Job DescriptionAs a General Manager, you are the leader of your restaurant. You are responsible for running a high-performing business by overseeing daily operations, developing and mentoring the management team, and ensuring consistent execution of McDonald's systems, standards, and expectations. You drive performance across all areas, including customer service, staffing, training, food safety, labor, and profitability. This role requires a full-time commitment of 45 to 50 hours per week, including some nights, weekends, and holidays.Key ResponsibilitiesLead all aspects of restaurant operations, including customer satisfaction, food safety, and employee performanceBuild and develop a strong leadership team (1st Assistant, Shift Leaders, and Crew)Create a positive, inclusive, and productive team cultureMaintain full compliance with all McDonald's standards, procedures, and training programsAnalyze business performance (labor, sales, controllables) and execute improvement strategiesEnsure consistent delivery of Gold Standard food quality and guest experienceHire, train, coach, and discipline employees in accordance with company policiesExecute scheduling, inventory, truck orders, and maintenance planningLead health inspections, McDonald's evaluations (e.g., EcoSure), and community relationsCommunicate effectively with Area Supervisor, Owners, and key company personnelQualificationsMust be 18 years or olderYou must be a person with strong communication and organizational skillsYou must have experience in leading individuals and enforcing company policies and health standardsYou must be accountable and dependable in managing operations and staffMinimum 2 years of McDonald's management experience or equivalent in QSR/hospitalityStrong leadership and decision-making skillsAbility to manage and motivate a diverse team in a high-paced environmentUnderstanding of labor controls, food costs, and operational performance metricsMust be reliable, results-driven, and committed to excellenceMust be available to work 45–50 hours per week, including evenings and weekendsWorkplace Violence PolicyKTL Restaurants LLC, Haynie Holdings LLC, and Haynie Management maintain a strict zero-tolerance policy regarding workplace violence.
