Senior Quality Control Technician

Location: Florence KY 41042 Duration: 06+ Months Contract Shift: 7:30am - 4pm Mon - Fri / 6:30am - 3pm Mon - Fri Key Responsibilities:

• Perform assessment testing as scheduled on in-process and/or finished device products according to all quality documentation.
• Evaluate test results for compliance to specification.
• Recognize problems that might affect the quality of integrity of the product and communicate problems.
• Perform calibration and routine daily/weekly instrument maintenance to ensure accuracy of results.
• Work with the team to help identify Lean manufacturing opportunities for continuous process improvement and suggest alternatives and solutions to problems.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Open to learning Lean Manufacturing or DBS tools.
• Must work well with others and understand how to be successful in team environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), required.
• Basic understanding of Statistical analysis is needed.
• Experience working in a diagnostic medical lab.

Preferred Qualifications: 3 years' experience in a lab setting, preferred.

Other Responsibilities: While training The Senior Quality Inspector Inspects and reports on manufacturing quality. The incumbent may perform the inspection of incoming materials, packaging and labeling components, perform quality duties for work in process and perform final product testing using more complex inspection gauging instruments. The incumbent has an understanding of basic geometric dimensioning and Tolerance systems and is able to follow and perform complex test methods. The incumbent will need computer skills that allow for daily use of multiple databases.
