Telehealthcare Extender

Overview Horizon Healthcare, Inc.'s American Telehealthcare program is now hiring for two regular (Monday-Friday) Tele-Behavioral Health Extenders for our new Beloit clinic. Qualified candidates must be available for a 1-2 week training period (1st shift and/or 2nd shift), Monday through Friday, with flexible times at either of our Milwaukee locations or the Beloit clinic. Horizon Healthcare, Inc. is a provider of Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse (AODA) and behavioral and mental health services. Our mission is to help individuals recover from mental illness and drug dependency, reclaim their health, and reintegrate with their families. We operate out of multiple locations across Wisconsin, with a professional staff of physicians, psychologists, social workers, addictionologists, and AODA professionals delivering individualized care. The American Telehealthcare program delivers outpatient psychiatric services via a secure e-psychiatry platform, AT E-PsychSM, providing mental health assessments, psychotherapy, and medication management. The platform supports high-definition video conferencing, electronic medical records, scheduling, e-prescriptions for controlled substances, and billing. Telehealthcare connects providers and patients efficiently, regardless of location. Responsibilities Provide patient customer service in a timely and professional manner. Perform receptionist/front desk duties, including filing, copying, faxing, answering and forwarding phone calls, and taking messages. Assist physicians and counselors with telepsychiatry set‑up and related clerical and administrative duties. Screen new patients to gather demographic and medical information and enter data into the Electronic Health Record (HER) before the provider sees the patient. Perform basic troubleshooting of telehealth equipment (computer, microphone, television) as needed. Schedule new appointments, diagnostic tests, follow-up visits, and send reminders as necessary. Complete prior authorizations, insurance verification, and collect co‑pays. Collect and post data for billing. Position Requirements High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Subject to Wisconsin law, a criminal background check may be required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel). Strong oral and written communication skills. Behavioral health or medical office experience preferred but not required; training will be provided. One (1) year experience in customer service or patient care in a correctional or medical setting, or one (1) year higher education in a Human Services–related field. Ability to manage multiple software applications required for telehealth services, including EMR, e‑prescription management, e‑chats, e‑faxing, insurance verification, and video conferencing. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with changing patient needs, including patients with behavioral or developmental medical conditions. Strong physical assessment, organizational, decision‑making, and independent critical‑thinking skills.
