Location Cincinnati, OH, United States Responsibilities Promotes and restores patients' health by completing the nursing process; collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; provides physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates culturally based and age‑specific patient care using principles of biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences. Incorporates the ANCC Synergy Model to drive nursing practice and achieve optimum patient outcomes. Engages in population‑appropriate communication and includes family/guardian in assessment, treatment, and continued care. Provides clear instructions to patients/family regarding treatment; identifies physical limitations; deploys interventions as needed. Recognizes and responds to behavioral health problems; interprets population‑related data and plans care accordingly. Addresses unique psychological or cultural needs and administers treatments and medication safely. Identifies and responds to signs/symptoms of abuse or neglect. Uses clinical reasoning and evidence‑based guidelines; collects data, follows protocols, and makes decisions. Represents patient and family interests; resolves ethical and clinical concerns; maintains confidentiality. Creates a compassionate, supportive, and therapeutic environment for patients and staff; promotes independence and teaches self‑care. Maintains a safe physical environment and acknowledges death as an outcome. Collaborates with other care providers to achieve optimal patient goals; participates in multidisciplinary discussions. Manages environmental and system resources; uses strategies to support patient, family, and staff. Recognizes diversity and incorporates cultural, spiritual, gender, race, ethnicity, socioeconomic, and age differences into care. Facilitates learning for patients, families, nursing staff, and community. Questions and evaluates practice; implements research‑based practices; recognizes the need for further learning.
