About Onyx
Onyx Asphalt & Concrete USA, Inc. is a growing contractor specializing in asphalt paving, concrete construction, milling, paving, sealcoating, striping, ADA improvements, and complete parking lot reconstruction throughout Southwest Florida. We serve commercial property owners, HOAs, condominium associations, municipalities, and general contractors on projects ranging from routine maintenance to multi-million-dollar infrastructure improvements.

Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Concrete & Asphalt Estimator to join our team in Bonita Springs, Florida.
This is not just an office position. The ideal candidate will be comfortable reviewing plans, visiting job sites, meeting with customers, preparing detailed estimates, and working closely with operations to help ensure projects are successful from bid through completion.

Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate estimates for asphalt and concrete projects.
- Review civil plans, specifications, and bid documents.
- Perform quantity takeoffs using Bluebeam or similar software.
- Visit project sites to verify existing conditions.
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing.
- Prepare detailed proposals and bid packages.
- Coordinate with project managers and field supervisors.
- Assist with project handoffs after contract award.
- Track bid opportunities and maintain estimating records.
- Build strong relationships with customers, vendors, and subcontractors.

Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of estimating experience (asphalt, concrete, or heavy civil preferred).
- Ability to read construction plans and specifications.
- Experience with Bluebeam, Excel, and estimating software.
- Strong math and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
