Work in a hybrid environment with mentorship opportunities.Job DescriptionSenior Accountant OverviewThe Senior Accountant role offers a unique opportunity to support portfolio management compensation within a leading investment firm.Collaborate with diverse teams to ensure accurate financial allocations and compensation calculations.Gain exposure to complex fund economics and sophisticated compensation mechanics.Work in a hybrid environment, blending operational tasks with analytical responsibilities.Receive hands-on mentorship and develop expertise in institutional asset management processes.Contribute to platform enhancements and drive improvements in compensation systems.Join a top quant fund known for innovation and excellence in financial services.Engage with cutting-edge technologies, including AI tools, to optimize workflows.Be part of a dynamic team that values collaboration, intelligence, and integrity.Senior Accountant Key Responsibilities & DutiesEnsure accurate allocation of PNL and expenses for compensation calculations.Calculate variable compensation for employees with complex structures.Prepare journal entries and maintain reconciliations of compensation expenses.Act as a subject matter expert for the variable compensation platform.Collaborate with technology teams to enhance platform functionality.Coordinate platform maintenance, including updates and testing.Compile and prepare financial reports for leadership and strategy heads.Assist in modeling hypothetical compensation scenarios for recruitment.Implement automation and process improvements to reduce manual effort.Senior Accountant Job RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or related field.4-6 years of accounting or financial analysis experience preferred.Knowledge of US GAAP standards and financial services industry desired.Highly analytical mindset with excellent organizational and communication skills.Experience with investment manager compensation calculations is a plus.Proficiency in integrating AI tools into workflows and processes.Ability to manage competing deadlines and reprioritize tasks effectively.Initiative to drive strategic goals and projects with minimal oversight.Comfort with automation tools and workflow refinement for efficiency.
