Senior Accountant - $120K + B

Senior Accountant | NYC Hybrid (Tue/Wed/Thu in office)

I'm working with a high-growth fintech company that's adding a Senior Accountant to its team, reporting to the Controller.

You'll own month-end close (JEs, reconciliations, and flux analysis), support the external audit, and help build scalable processes and controls as the business grows.

What you will do:

• Perform month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries and reconciliations for various balance sheet and income statement accounts
• Perform financial statement analyses and document meaningful explanations for fluctuations
• Review financial statements to ensure transactions and consolidations are properly reflected and in accordance with GAAP
• Participate in streamlining and process improvement projects, enhancing the internal controls over accounting processes and systems
• Assist in implementing new accounting policies and procedures

Required Qualifications and Skills

• 3+ years of accounting experience in technology or financial services
• BA/BS degree in Accounting or related field
• Big 4 Public/Private experience and CPA preferred
