This is a full-time direct hire position. The role involves supporting accurate project financial management by monitoring job costs, reviewing project-related transactions, assisting with customer billing and collections, and providing timely financial information to Project Managers and Finance leadership. This position ensures project accounting activities are completed in accordance with GAAP, company policies, contract requirements, and internal control expectations.Main tasks and responsibilities include maintaining accurate project accounting records, reviewing and recording project-related costs, partnering with Project Managers to review financial status, assisting with customer invoicing and collections, monitoring open jobs and contract recognition, preparing monthly project accounting schedules, coordinating project review meetings, generating purchase orders, compiling project accounting information for internal and external reviews, and supporting monthly consolidation and reporting activities.Competency requirements include language skills for clear and professional communication, mathematical skills for accurate calculations, reasoning and confidentiality, and proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Education, training, and experience include a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, four to six years of related accounting experience, and working knowledge of GAAP, project cost tracking, customer invoicing, collections, reconciliations, month-end close support, and internal controls.
