Seeking Two Part-Time “Live-In” Caregivers — Fresno, CA We're looking for two compassionate, reliable part-time caregivers for my aunt, a senior in Fresno, CA. She's been happily independent in her own home for 30 years, and our family wants to help her stay there. She values her quiet and her privacy, but she also loves good conversation and has plenty of great stories to share when she's in the mood — the right fit is someone who can naturally sense when she wants company and when she'd rather be left alone. She needs support with daily tasks and mobility, and we'd love someone with real lived experience who can step in and handle things without a lot of hand-holding. You'd be working in a large, smoke-free home in a gated community. She has two cats who'll need feeding and litter box cleaning — don't worry, the house doesn't smell like it. We expect the role to run no more than 12 hours of active work a day, with some flexibility in how those hours are arranged so you can still get your own errands done. While at the home you will have a private bedroom to sleep in. This could be a great fit for someone who doesn’t want a daily commute to Fresno for work, or someone taking classes online, since you'd be able to manage coursework right from the home. These are permanent positions needed for as long as my aunt lives at home. Schedule

• Part-time live-in, 2–4 consecutive days per week (exact days negotiable — could be 2, 3, or 4 depending on the household's schedule), alone responsible for her care for the full 24 hours on each scheduled day, with a private bedroom during your shift for a genuine overnight sleep break and many opportunities for breaks.
• Alternates with another caregiver who covers the remaining days of the week.

Responsibilities

• Preparing meals
• Medication reminders
• Minor assistance with mobility and fall prevention
• Errands related to her care (groceries, pharmacy, appointments)
• Companionship and light housekeeping in her living area
• Overnight presence, with a private space to sleep

Compensation $20.00/hour, with 1.5x overtime pay for hours worked beyond 9 in a day, consistent with California's personal-attendant wage and overtime rules. For 12 hours of work, that works out to roughly $270/day when overnight sleep is uninterrupted (higher if more overnight help is needed). Paid biweekly. W-2 employment — taxes withheld. • Experience with elder care (HHA, CNA, or equivalent experience/certification preferred, not required)
• CPR/First Aid certification a plus
• Valid CA driver's license, a clean driving record and reliable transportation
• Comfortable with a part-time, rotating schedule that may include some overnights
• Patient, warm, trustworthy, and a good communicator with family
• Able to pass a background check and provide references
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Bonus points if you are registered in the California Home Care Aide Registry
