Student Services Coordinator The Student Services Coordinator serves as a pertinent role as part of the Admissions Office at Iowa Central. As the first point of contact for many prospective students and families, the coordinator is responsible for scheduling all individual and high school group visits for campus. The coordinator is the primary contact for welcoming prospective students, families, and group visits onto campus. Oversees tour staff and the Student Ambassador program. Examples of Duties Constant (67-100%) Coordinate, schedule and effectively execute daily campus visits, high school group visits, tours and meetings with prospective students. Send follow-up communication to all campus visits. Develop and maintain rapport with coaches, academic areas, and financial aid regarding campus visits. Carry out Admissions portion of Campus visit daily. Respond to a high volume of phone and email inquiries related to admissions. Supervise campus tour staff. Oversee and supervise Student Ambassador program including interviewing, hiring, training, supervising and monitoring all Student Ambassadors. Frequent (34-66%) Assist with Admissions-sponsored events such as Triton Visit Days, Orientation Days, and Athletic Recruitment Days. Coordinate and assist in facilitating high school group visits. Coordinate and facilitate weekend recruitment events. Organize, coordinate and monitor show rooms for campus tours. Advising through the onboarding process. Monitoring and updating Calendly for Campus Visits Coordinate documents for Admissions mailings and all packets/folders for all visit days. Keep inventory of Admissions supplies, materials, t-shirts, etc. Training and evaluating Student Ambassadors each semester. Occasional (10-33%) Assist in coordinating yearly College Fair and high school visits. Assist with interviewing and hiring Student Ambassador program each semester. Travel to College Fairs if needed. Other duties as assigned. PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS: 1. Possess excellent abilities in organization and coordination to effectively serve in a supervisory capacity. 4. Possess excellent computer skills for Datatel, data entry and Microsoft Office Products. 5. Thorough knowledge of office methods and procedures, telephone techniques, and office equipment. 6. Ability to work efficiently and accurately in an atmosphere of frequent interruptions. 7. Ability to deal positively and effectively with high-pressure deadlines. 8. Ability to work effectively with diverse personalities and populations. 9. Ability to assume responsibility, deal effectively with problems, and exercise good judgement when making decisions. 10. Ability and desire to exercise loyalty and commitment to the department and the College as a whole. Qualifications Associate Degree required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs. Must be extremely organized, enjoy working with the public in a professional office environment.
