Welder – $25/hr | South Portland, ME
Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 1st & 2nd Shift Available
We’re looking for a skilled Welder to join our team in South Portland, Maine. If you have experience in steel fabrication, take safety seriously, and take pride in doing quality work, this is a great opportunity with strong pay and steady hours.
Schedule Options:
- 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- 4:30 PM – 3:00 AM
What You’ll Do
- Perform welding using various methods and techniques (manual and automated)
- Layout and fit up materials based on shop drawings
- Grind and prep parts for production
- Safely move materials, with or without lifting equipment
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently
- Follow all company safety standards and OSHA regulations
- Support additional shop duties as needed
What We’re Looking For
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass CBSS Weld Test
- Strong ability to read shop drawings and use a tape measure (including fractions)
- Experience with tools and materials used in steel fabrication
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Willingness to work overtime when needed
