IT Helpdesk Technician

Snapshot / Role Overview
We're seeking an IT Helpdesk Technician in the Chicago metro area to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across devices and systems supporting commercial HVAC operations.

Impact
- Keep field technicians and office staff productive with quick technical support
- Minimize downtime through efficient troubleshooting and problem resolution
- Support business operations with reliable IT infrastructure
- Provide excellent customer service to internal technology users

Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on PCs, laptops, and mobile devices
- Respond to helpdesk tickets and support requests in timely manner
- Install and configure hardware and software for new users
- Assist with network connectivity and system-related projects
- Document issues and resolutions in ticketing system
- Perform hands-on engagement with users at multiple locations
- Maintain inventory of IT equipment and supplies
- Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff as needed

Requirements
Must-Haves
- 1+ years of IT support or helpdesk experience
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office
- Understanding of networking fundamentals and troubleshooting
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Valid driver's license for travel to multiple locations

Nice-to-Haves
- CompTIA A+ or similar IT certifications
- Experience supporting mobile devices and tablets
- Knowledge of Active Directory and Office 365
- Associate degree in Information Technology or related field
