As a Customer Care Specialist, you will service mid‑tier to large customer accounts, ensuring on‑time, in‑full order delivery. Your responsibilities include timely order entry, acknowledgement, load creation, proactive communication with customers, and invoicing. Key Accountabilities Order Entry Ensures customer orders are encoded accurately and on time, evaluates order quantity versus minimum requirements, requested delivery dates versus published lead time, and aligns customers on lead time. Order Acknowledgement Acknowledges orders and communicates back to customers within 24 hours; if auto‑acknowledgement is used, verifies all information is accurate and realistic, managing customer expectations. Order Status Communication Generates or analyzes open order reports, confirms ship dates with plant and shipping teams, and communicates to customers at least one week before ship date, keeping them informed to allow order adjustments. Demand Management and Control Works closely with plant schedulers to ensure demand signals are understood for a cost‑effective shop floor schedule. Order Fulfilment Process Improvement Identifies process improvement opportunities to simplify routine tasks, freeing time for customer communication. Service Risks Mitigation Determines and escalates service risks and issues through proper channels, seeking resolutions and mitigation plans.
