As a Customer Care Specialist, you will service mid‑tier to large customer accounts, ensuring on‑time, in‑full order delivery. Your responsibilities include timely order entry, acknowledgement, load creation, proactive communication with customers, and invoicing. Key Accountabilities Order Entry Ensures customer orders are encoded accurately and on time, evaluates order quantity versus minimum requirements, requested delivery dates versus published lead time, and aligns customers on lead time. Order Acknowledgement Acknowledges orders and communicates back to customers within 24 hours; if auto‑acknowledgement is used, verifies all information is accurate and realistic, managing customer expectations. Order Status Communication Generates or analyzes open order reports, confirms ship dates with plant and shipping teams, and communicates to customers at least one week before ship date, keeping them informed to allow order adjustments. Demand Management and Control Works closely with plant schedulers to ensure demand signals are understood for a cost‑effective shop floor schedule. Order Fulfilment Process Improvement Identifies process improvement opportunities to simplify routine tasks, freeing time for customer communication. Service Risks Mitigation Determines and escalates service risks and issues through proper channels, seeking resolutions and mitigation plans. Additional Responsibilities (≤30% of workload) New Item Requests Quote Requests Customer Incident Tracking (TICS) Sample Requests Requests for Specs, Drawings, and Regulatory Documents Performance Measures Past due orders trend and goals Manual vs. automatic order entry ratio Order acknowledgement turnaround time Load building turnaround time On‑time and in‑full delivery rate Order entry accuracy Customer scorecard and performance feedback Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Management, Sales, Marketing, or Supply Chain 3–5 years of customer service experience in a fast‑moving consumer or manufacturing environment Proficiency in gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data Proficiency with JDE, Cognos, Tableau a plus Proficient in Microsoft Excel and related Office applications Excellent verbal and written communication skills with customers, both external and internal Competencies Excellent verbal and written communication skills Independent and self‑starting with little supervision Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills Full understanding of role impact on total business costs Excellent attention to detail Strong IT systems knowledge; advanced Excel user Ability to analyze and manipulate complex data and provide meaningful insights Our Expectations Engaged and developing as part of a high‑performing team Drivers of customer growth and prosperity through quality, service, and innovation Contributors to consistent growth and superior returns for investors Environmental stewardship through leadership and product excellence Equal Opportunity Employer Amcor is an Equal Opportunity Employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
