HR Coordinator

Purpose of Role

We are seeking a full-time HR Coordinator to support day-to-day HR operations across the firm. This role is fully in-person in our Roseland, NJ office and partners closely with leadership, attorneys, and staff across multiple offices.

You'll be joining a collaborative HR team at the center of the firm's operations-supporting employees across the full lifecycle and helping keep things running smoothly. This is a hands-on role for someone who likes to stay organized, keep things moving, and be relied on in a fast-paced legal environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage onboarding and offboarding, including offer letters, new hire paperwork, I-9 compliance, and system setup.

• Maintain employee records and ensure a high level of accuracy and organization.

• Process employee changes (hires, terminations, compensation updates, title changes, etc.).
• Serve as a point of contact for employee questions (benefits, PTO, policies).
• Coordinate benefits administration, including enrollments, qualifying events, and COBRA.
• Support open enrollment preparation and follow-up.
• Coordinate interviews and candidate communication.
• Assist with background checks and logistics.
• Help keep recruiting and hiring processes organized.
• Support performance review cycles (scheduling, tracking, follow-ups).
• Assist with HR reporting, audits, and general administrative tasks.
• Ensure deadlines are met and details do not fall through the cracks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field required.

• 2+ years of HR, administrative, or coordinator experience (law firm or professional services preferred).

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

• Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication skills and ability to handle confidential information.
• Experience with HR systems and Microsoft Office.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with high expectations and shifting priorities

• Must be able to work in a fully in-person role in Roseland, NJ.

Compensation & Benefits: This position offers a salary range of $60,000 - $75,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, and qualifications. Support staff may also be eligible for discretionary year-end bonuses and a merit-based increase. The posted salary range reflects the base pay range for this position.
