Account Manager

Location Plymouth, MA Role Summary We are seeking a highly capable individual for the Account Manager position in the US Petcare Division. The role is field‑based, involves travel and evening work for educational programs, and requires residence within the assigned territory. Responsibilities Sales Performance Meet overall sales objectives (quota) for overall and key growth products through demand generation within the targeted geography. Successfully launch new products, service offerings, and generate new equipment leads. Solution Selling & Technical Knowledge Consistently demonstrate solution selling capabilities. Consistently build and demonstrate relevant technical knowledge and veterinary practice expertise. Build effective relationships with and serve all targeted hospitals and personnel, maintaining and growing relevance and access within each account. Interact with customers following all Zoetis promotional guidelines. Territory Management & Teamwork Develop and execute a Territory Business Plan and allocate resources to maximize ROI. Meet field activity expectations, including sales call activity and investment in medical education programs. Develop and execute a call‑cycle at the account and veterinarian level that delivers reach/frequency expectations. Work with all Zoetis Petcare colleagues in a professional manner, consistently meeting expectations around integrity, compliance, work‑ethic, conduct, attire, communication, and overall teamwork. Education and Experience Undergraduate degree (BS/BA) required. 3‑10 years of documented and successful consultative sales experience, ideally in animal health. Experience in creatively finding opportunities or solving problems to drive sales performance. Animal health experience and knowledge of small animal veterinary medicine. Ability to manage assigned expense budgets. Self‑starter with the ability to work independently and in a close team environment. High focus on results, goal setting, and issue resolution. Demonstrated willingness to accept and incorporate feedback. Proficiency in analytics and insights to enhance decision‑making and tactical execution. Technical Skills Requirements Excellent verbal, written, presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills. Ability to exercise good judgment and make thoughtful and fair decisions based on relevant information. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and ability to learn Zoetis systems. Physical Position Requirements Ability and willingness to travel and work some evenings as required by the position. Salary & Benefits The US base salary range for this full‑time position is $69,360 – $139,265. Comprehensive benefits package includes healthcare and insurance benefits beginning on day one, a 401(k) plan with company match and profit‑sharing contribution, and 4 weeks of vacation.
