Assistant General Manager

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess exceptional guest service acumen, leadership, and organization skills, as well as motivation to drive our stellar team to continued success Ability to be flexible and adapt to any situation Previous hotel experience is required Passion for customer service and a positive outgoing personality Excellent communications and organizational skills Able to motivate the team to provide best-in-class customer service Responsibilities As the AGM, you will lead a team in developing and implementing property-wide strategies. Your role is pivotal in successfully implementing brand service strategy and initiatives. The ultimate objective is consistently meeting or exceeding guest, brand and ownership expectations. Oversee the teams in all hotel departments including: Front Desk, Housekeeping, F&B and Night Audit. Hire and manage team members who demonstrate strong functional expertise, creativity, entrepreneurial leadership, and critical thinking to meet the business needs of the operation. Develop a thorough knowledge of the hotel staff, services, hours of operation, room details, amenities and hotel surroundings. Inspire and motivate employees to achieve operational excellence while practicing strategic retention efforts within the hotel team. Ensures staff is accountable for successful performance in a positive manner Effectively respond to and resolve guest concerns or complaints in a timely and efficient manner. Communicates a clear and consistent message regarding property goals to produce desired results Conducts annual performance reviews with direct reports according to Standard Operating Procedures Participates in daily/weekly/monthly Operations meetings to ensure strong and sustained interdepartmental communications, problem resolution, and guest satisfaction Ensures accurate revenue, expense, and labor forecasts and execution Creates appropriate development plans based on individual strengths, development needs, career aspirations and abilities Other duties: Please note that this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities required of the employee for this job.
