Job Description

This Scrum Master role focuses on facilitating agile ceremonies for individual hardware and robotics subsystem teams, ensuring smooth collaboration across cross-functional groups and protecting the Product Owner’s time for strategic work such as requirements, stakeholder engagement, and roadmap planning.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate core Scrum ceremonies for hardware and robotics subsystem teams, including sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Plan and manage all ceremony logistics, including scheduling meetings, defining agendas, and setting up tooling to support effective collaboration.
• Protect the Product Owner’s time by handling ceremony and planning logistics, enabling the Product Owner to focus on requirements, stakeholders, and roadmap activities.
• Coordinate and support multiple interconnected subsystem teams working on robotics, sensors, controls, software applications, and remote support infrastructure.
• Promote agile best practices within hardware development teams and encourage continuous improvement in team processes and communication.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to remove impediments, improve workflows, and ensure alignment across disciplines.
• Use Jira and other agile tools to organize work, track progress, and maintain transparency on team commitments and delivery.

Essential Skills

• At least 3+ years of experience facilitating Scrum and agile ceremonies for hardware development teams.
• Hardware development experience
• Hands-on experience with Jira for agile planning, tracking, and reporting.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I).
• Experience working with robotics projects or robotics-related systems.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams across disciplines such as robotics, sensors, controls, software, and support.
• Strong organizational and communication skills to manage ceremony logistics and support team collaboration.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience applying agile practices in complex, multi-subsystem environments.
• Familiarity with sensors, controls, software applications, and remote support infrastructure in a robotics context.
• Demonstrated ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.
• Comfort facilitating meetings and guiding discussions to keep teams focused and productive.

Work Environment

This is a fully onsite role in a growing company that builds a Titan robotic construction printer composed of multiple interconnected subsystems, including robotics, sensors, controls, software applications, and remote support infrastructure. You will work closely with hardware and robotics teams in a collaborative environment where agile practices are central to daily operations. The company offers 10 paid holidays and 1 week of PTO, ideally used during a holiday shutdown in December, and provides opportunities for upward mobility and professional growth.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Austin, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $80.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
