Banquet Captain Location: Mira Vista Country Club Position Type: Full-Time Pay: Starting at $20/hour (based on experience) Join Our Team We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Banquet Captain to join our Food & Beverage leadership team. This is a hands‑on management position ideal for a hospitality professional who thrives in fast‑paced event environments and is passionate about delivering exceptional guest and member experiences. The Banquet Captain plays a vital role in the planning, execution, and oversight of private events, club functions, and banquet operations. This position combines the leadership responsibilities of a restaurant service manager with the organization and coordination skills of an event planner. Candidates with previous banquet management experience are required, and private club experience is strongly preferred. Position Responsibilities Lead and supervise banquet and event operations from setup to breakdown Actively manage and support banquet staff during service while maintaining high hospitality standards Coordinate with culinary, clubhouse, and event teams to ensure smooth execution of all events Assist with event planning logistics, timelines, room setups, and service flow Train, coach, and develop banquet staff to uphold service standards and operational consistency Maintain professionalism and composure in high-volume and fast‑paced environments Ensure cleanliness, organization, and proper event presentation throughout the clubhouse and banquet spaces Assist with scheduling, staffing, and labor management Handle member and guest requests promptly and professionally Enforce food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service standards Support club leadership with operational goals, event execution, and team accountability Qualifications Minimum 2 years of banquet or hospitality management experience required Previous private club, country club, or upscale hospitality experience strongly preferred Strong leadership and communication skills Ability to lead by example and work alongside the team during service Experience managing large‑scale events, banquets, and member functions Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays Professional appearance and positive attitude required Benefits for Full-Time Employees PTO (Paid Time Off) Health Benefits Growth and leadership opportunities Employee meal program Professional and supportive team environment CMAA opportunities What We’re Looking For We are looking for someone who is: Hands‑on and team‑oriented Passionate about hospitality and member service Organized and detail‑focused Comfortable leading high‑volume events Reliable, proactive, and solution‑driven Able to create a positive and professional work environment If you are passionate about hospitality leadership and enjoy creating memorable event experiences, we would love to hear from you. #J-18808-Ljbffr Mira Vista Country Club
