Quality Technician

The Quality Technician, $23 hr, Night Shift: 8:00 pm- 6:30 am Monday - Thursday, is responsible for quality inspection and auditing of manufacturing operations, component and finished goods as well as quality records, assists in completing discrepancy corrective/preventative action. Perform receiving, in-process and final inspections ensuring compliance to
quality metrics and standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Conducts required process audits and update the work instructions (SOP's), as required.
* Records measurement data into database systems for capturing, analyzing, and providing timelyand accurate reporting.
* Reads and interprets blueprint drawings and be proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments.
* Inspects and examines material for quality compliance and process rejected product.
* Operates forklift, power pallet jack or manual carts or pallet jacks to unload, move or store materials.
* Must be able to work required overtime as needed.
* Work with members of leadership and quality to solve issues.
* Other duties may be assigned as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
* Able to work in excel, create spreadsheets, and manipulate data.
* A minimum of (2) two years related work experience that includes a working knowledge of precision measuring instruments such as CMM, micrometers, height gauges & calipers, etc.
* Basic math skills with ability to perform basic math calculations, such as, addition, subtraction,multiplication, and division. Plus, knowledge of fractions, decimals, and squares, and squareroots.
* Experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis, and problem-solving techniques, root cause analysis, quality assurance practices and concepts with the ability to lead continuous
improvement/kaizen events.
* Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
* Ability to compare actual measurements to specifications and determine if finished product is acceptable quality.

Physical/Mental Demands:
* Manually lift/slide/flip materials or boxes of material (max. 50 and 51 or higher with assistance),walking, standing, bending, lifting, twisting, agility - constant moving
* Face paced position - constant flow of materials, attention to details required
* Mildly controlled environment - can expect some cold and heat during extreme weather conditions
