DIGITAL MARKETING SPECIALIST Richmond, VA The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) is seeking a Digital Marketing Specialist within its Marketing & Communications (M&C) Division to support the execution of marketing strategies and initiatives that advance VEDP’s mission and marketing objectives. The M&C Division manages Virginia’s business brand and builds awareness of the Commonwealth’s advantages among key audiences. The Digital Marketing Specialist plays an important role in supporting VEDP’s digital marketing efforts through social media management and support, website content updates, digital campaign execution, and marketing asset coordination. This position works collaboratively with colleagues across the organization to help deliver marketing programs, maintain digital resources, and support day-to-day marketing operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, creative, and eager to contribute to a dynamic marketing team dedicated to promoting Virginia as a premier place to live, work, and do business. Responsibilities: Assist with social media content creation and coordinate the scheduling and publishing of content across VEDP platforms Assist in maintaining the social media content calendar and coordinating content with internal teams Design and edit graphics, quote cards, and other visual assets for social media and digital marketing initiatives Support the execution of digital marketing campaigns and initiatives across multiple channels Help coordinate and execute webinar registration and email marketing campaigns within HubSpot Conduct research and pull analytics from marketing dashboards to support campaign reporting and optimization Help update and maintain content across VEDP.org and affiliated websites, including articles, Virginia Economic Review content, success stories, documents, and other web content Perform routine website updates, including contact information changes, document uploads, and content edits Assist with quality assurance by reviewing website content for accuracy, consistency, and usability Assist with maintaining marketing assets within the VEDP intranet and other digital asset management systems Upload, organize, categorize, and archive marketing collateral, photography, graphics, and other digital resources Help ensure marketing materials remain current by coordinating routine content and asset updates Assist with maintaining marketing databases and supporting communications reporting efforts Support day-to-day marketing operations and special projects across the M&C team Coordinate marketing requests and assist with project timelines and deliverables Collaborate with colleagues across VEDP to support organizational marketing initiatives Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team setting Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills Basic understanding of digital marketing principles and best practices Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite applications Ability to maintain accuracy and consistency while managing routine tasks Experience: 1-3 years of experience in digital marketing, communications, website management, or social media marketing required Experience supporting social media content development and publishing required Experience updating website content through a content management system (CMS) required Experience using marketing automation and email marketing platforms preferred Experience with HubSpot, WordPress, Drupal, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Photoshop preferred This is a hybrid position based in VEDP’s Richmond office and requires employees to work in the office at least three days per week.
