Licensed Psychologist

Overview CoreCivic is seeking Licensed Psychologists to provide high quality clinical services in an institutional setting. Salary: $170,000 - $175,000 per year. Responsibilities Conduct psychological screenings and assessments based on review of available records and clinical interviews with inmates. Collaborate with mental health team members (psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, etc.) to gather and provide information concerning patient psychological problems, ensuring integrated treatment activities. Develop, implement, and modify individual treatment plans based on evaluation of needs and level of functioning. Perform regular rounds in segregation or other confined housing areas to assess inmate adjustment and mental health treatment needs. Demonstrate thorough knowledge of psychological counseling theory and techniques through treatments and activities used for individuals in caseload. Provide appropriate mental health assessments, counseling, and crisis interventions to address inmate needs. Consult with psychiatry, nursing, medical, educational, chaplain, security staff, and others to understand reasons for escalation of behaviors and changes in mental health conditions. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited college or university with a Doctoral degree in Psychology. Current, unrestricted license to practice psychology in the state where practice occurs. At least two years of clinical experience, including one year in a comparable position. Valid driver’s license required. Minimum age 21 years.
