Summary

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager who knows the post-acute world from the inside. Someone who has lived in it on the operations side: overseeing billing, administering facilities, managing census, and growing the business. A medical or clinical understanding or a clinical degree is a plus, not a requirement.

What you will be doing:

• Work with the Director of Product Management and the CEO to strategize and define what gets built on the EHR roadmap
• Write feature stories, acceptance criteria, and specs that engineering builds from, driving work from backlog to shipped
• Run the Jira board, keep stories moving through the pipeline, clear blockers, and hold the line on scope so that releases land when we said they would
• Work with engineers daily, translating clinical and operational needs into technical requirements they can act on
• Refine the backlog, sit in sprint conversations, and stay close to the build that nothing gets lost between the story and the software
• Drive market penetration across the SNF and ALF segments.
• Shape how our product lands in each new facility, from the rollout plan and initial EMR configuration through the first quarter of live use
• Hire and lead a small team of hands-on implementation specialists; own the training program they deliver to facility staff
• Identify the right partners, structure the commercial and technical terms, and participate in the negotiations alongside the CEO and counsel
• After shipment, stay close to the operators, clinicians, and product end users. Confirm the experience is genuinely good and that the ROI we promised is showing up
• Follow up across rollout, usage, and training, time to go live, training completion, adoption depth in the first 90 days, support volume by facility, and operator satisfaction

What you need to qualify:

• Expert knowledge and experience developing product roadmaps, writing feature stories, and driving project execution with engineering teams
• Healthcare or EHR product work is a strong plus
• Deep operational experience inside Skilled Nursing or Assisted Living facilities
• Experience operating the billing apparatus, administering facilities, managing census, or driving facility growth
• Hands-on knowledge of what MDS means, what a care plan looks like, how the census flows, and how billing moves from admission to discharget
• Working knowledge of the full lifecycle from referral and admission through care delivery, reimbursement, and discharge planning
• Expert working knowledge of CMS reporting requirements and hands-on MDS coding expertise, grounded in the full RAI process from assessment through care plan
• Knowledge of the MDS item sets, how Section GG functions inside the MDS and why accurate GG coding matters, how coding drives reimbursement under PDPM, and what the Medicare required assessment schedule demands of a facility
• Expert knowledge of the SNF quality measures and how they connect to revenue, survey posture, and referral standing
• Understanding of how Medicare and Medicaid claims move from MDS assessment to payment
• Direct experience leading software rollouts into facilities, ideally EMR or other clinical systems.
• Expeedrience running an implementation plan from kickoff through go-live
• Experience building and delivering training programs for facility or clinical staff
• Experience hiring, onboarding, and leading a small team
• Demonstrated ability to translate product requirements into engineering work. Ability to write a story that an engineer can build from.

• Hands-on experience running a backlog in Jira and maintaining product documentation in Confluence

• AI fluency, Claude specifically
