Responsibilities Report directly to the School Principal. Teach 4–5 out of 7 periods daily (4 content‑based, 1 intervention‑based). Be on campus from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM and assume responsibility for students outside the classroom commensurate with the position. Attend weekly meetings, professional development, and receive personalized coaching. Practice anti‑racist work, including restorative justice approaches to building relationships and addressing grievances. Communicate and collaborate effectively with colleagues, students, and families. Use data regularly to drive decisions and demonstrate continuous improvement. Hold students accountable to academic and behavioral expectations and actively contribute to school and position‑based teams. Qualifications Believe in the school’s core values of scholarship, belonging, passion, responsibility, and integrity. Earned a Bachelor’s degree in education or the subject area (required). Passed the Massachusetts Test for Educational Licensure (MTEL) and Sheltered English Immersion (SEI) endorsement or be willing to work toward certification. Minimum of two years’ teaching experience in an urban public or charter school setting (preferred). Knowledge of child/adolescent development and experience leading a diverse student group. Ability to speak authentically about diversity, equity, and inclusion and recognize how identity impacts work. Compensation and Benefits Salary range $63,750 – $90,060 per year based on experience.
