- Under the direction of PFS Leadership, the Reimbursement Specialist I is responsible for billing and collections of outstanding account balances from commercial, government, and managed care payors. Responsibilities include:
- Identifying and reporting payor issues to leadership
- Reading, interpreting, and applying complex payor contract language to calculate expected reimbursement
- Pursuing payments owed to the organization
- Conducting account collection activities using internet resources and professional telephone communication
- Drafting professional written correspondence with internal and external stakeholders
- High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent
- 2 years of experience
- EPIC experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook programs
- Proficiency in sending paper claims, paper appeals and refund requests
Candidate Screening Questions
- Do you have hospital billing and collections experience? If yes, how many years?
- Do you have experience billing commercial payors? If yes, how many years?
- Do you have experience performing billing and collections within Epic? If yes, how many years?
- Are you able to work remotely with a start time between 6:00 AM - 9:00 AM PST?
