Exciting contract opportunity available for a skilled bilingual professional passionate about early childhood special education! This role offers an engaging, collaborative environment supporting children across multiple school sites. Candidates will collaborate with a dedicated Child Find Evaluation Team and ensure comprehensive, culturally responsive educational evaluations and support.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting bilingual Child Find evaluations at designated elementary schools and district-level evaluation sites
- Supporting early childhood students (pre-K to kindergarten) in a variety of educational settings
- Working collaboratively with other special education professionals, school psychologists, and district staff
- Adapting evaluation tools and assessment strategies to best meet the unique needs of bilingual students and families
- Delivering clear reports and actionable recommendations to educational teams
- Maintaining compliance with state and district reporting and credentialing requirements
The ideal candidate brings:
- Valid Colorado Department of Education Teaching License with an Early Childhood Special Education (EC SPED) endorsement
- Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish strongly preferred)
- Experience with early childhood assessments or Child Find evaluations
- Flexibility to work across two or more elementary schools, with potential district-level assignments
- Commitment to culturally responsive practices and family engagement
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
This position entails working 37.5 hours each week at North Star Elementary (Thornton), Centennial Elementary (Broomfield), and other district Child Find locations as needed. The contract runs through May 21, 2027, offering stability, meaningful work, and exposure to diverse educational settings.
