Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for critical care settings. This role involves providing high-quality care to patients in Medical ICU, Trauma ICU, and Neuro ICU. The nurse will be expected to work rotating shifts, including Day Shift options of either 3 x 12s or 4 x 12s from 0700 to 1930.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care in critical care environments.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, documenting changes appropriately.
• Implement and follow care plans developed in collaboration with healthcare teams.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using Epic.

Qualifications

• Education:
  
  
  • High School Education/GED or equivalent: Required
  • Associate Degree (A.A. or A.S.): Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing: Preferred
• Experience:
  
  
  • Passing completion of a Critical Care Nursing course: Required
  • Six months previous critical care experience: Preferred
• Licenses/Certifications:
  
  
  • Current RN license in the state of practice: Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor: Required
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from an approved vendor: Required
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC): Required within 1 year of hire or transfer into the department (Current employees as of 06.30.2021 have 2 years to complete)

Additional Information

Call is rare, and candidates who do not currently possess TNCC certification will be considered, provided the certification is obtained before the set start date.
