Respiratory Therapist (PRN / Part-Time / Full-Time)

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Respiratory Therapist to provide exceptional respiratory and ventilator care services to residents in our skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility. The ideal candidate will have experience managing residents with complex respiratory needs and a commitment to delivering resident-centered care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess residents' respiratory status and provide appropriate treatments.

• Manage and monitor ventilator-dependent residents.

• Administer oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, tracheostomy care, suctioning, and other respiratory interventions.

• Assist with ventilator weaning programs as appropriate.

• Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot respiratory and ventilator equipment.

• Educate, train, and provide ongoing support to nursing staff on ventilator management, tracheostomy care, respiratory equipment, infection prevention, and emergency airway procedures.

• Serve as a respiratory care resource for nursing staff and interdisciplinary team members.

• Educate residents and families regarding respiratory and ventilator care.

• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and therapy teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.

• Document treatments, assessments, and resident responses accurately and timely.

• Participate in respiratory quality assurance and infection prevention initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Current Ohio Respiratory Care Professional License required.

• Experience with ventilator management and tracheostomy care preferred.

• Long-term care, skilled nursing, or subacute rehabilitation experience preferred.

• Strong assessment, communication, teaching, and critical thinking skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.
