Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Lead Scrum Master / Agilist to support AI-enabled technical product teams across cloud, infrastructure, telecommunications, and emerging technology initiatives.

This individual will be a hands-on servant leader responsible for facilitating Agile delivery, coaching teams, removing impediments, improving delivery practices, and creating transparency across technical teams and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate is engaging, technically curious, adaptable, and comfortable working in a rapidly evolving environment . We are looking for someone who understands Agile principles but is not rigidly tied to one methodology and can adjust their approach based on the needs and maturity of each team.

Rate: $70-75/hr W-2

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and cross-team planning.
• Ensure Agile ceremonies are purposeful, time-boxed, and focused on decisions, delivery, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Coach teams and leaders in Agile, Scrum, Kanban, product thinking, self-management, and value-focused delivery .
• Help teams establish practical working agreements, Sprint Goals, Definitions of Ready, and Definitions of Done.
• Proactively identify, track, escalate, and resolve impediments, risks, and cross-team dependencies .
• Coordinate dependencies across cybersecurity, architecture, infrastructure, data, operations, and other enterprise technology teams.
• Partner closely with Product Owners on backlog refinement, story readiness, estimation, prioritization discussions, and Sprint Goal development.
• Maintain accurate delivery information and transparency through Jira, Confluence, dashboards, and related Agile tools .
• Utilize metrics including cycle time, throughput, aging work, Sprint Goal achievement, carryover, predictability, and impediment trends to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Facilitate communication among technical teams, product leadership, customers, and enterprise stakeholders.
• Support demonstrations, planning sessions, leadership updates, onboarding, and knowledge-transfer activities.
• Foster an engaging and collaborative team environment that creates unity, clarity, accountability, and continuous improvement .

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or seven years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• 5+ years of experience within product, project, delivery, or Agile environments.
• 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, Agilist, Agile Delivery Lead, or Agile Coach .
• Scrum Master certification such as CSM, PSM I, or equivalent .
• Demonstrated experience facilitating Agile delivery for technical or software product teams.
• Experience identifying and resolving delivery impediments, risks, and cross-team dependencies.
• Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence .
• Ability to work effectively with Product Owners, engineers, technical leads, and senior stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting multiple Agile teams or technical product workstreams simultaneously .
• Experience working with teams at different levels of Agile maturity.
• Experience supporting AI/ML, generative AI, chatbots, cloud platforms, infrastructure, telecommunications, data integrations, or other emerging technologies .
• Experience working with both Scrum and Kanban delivery models.
• Experience utilizing Agile delivery and flow metrics to drive continuous improvement.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and bring structure to rapidly evolving technical environments.
• Strong curiosity, learner mindset, and practical problem-solving approach.
• Experience working within large, complex enterprise environments is a plus.

Ideal Candidate: A seasoned Scrum Master who can combine strong Agile fundamentals with flexibility and technical curiosity. Someone who isn't afraid to challenge traditional processes, enjoys working with AI and emerging technologies, and can bring both structure and energy to technical teams.

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
