Admitting Clerk - ER (Casual)

Hours of Job:
- Casual/PRN as needed (1st & 2nd shift)
- 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
Duties and Key Responsibilities:
- Creates a positive impression for each patient, family member, visitor or staff while pre-admitting, admitting and/or registering, routing, or escorting patients, family, or visitors, serving as entity resource.
- Registers all visits as needed.
- In addition, obtains necessary signatures, completes paperwork, and distributes correctly.
- Acts as role model and provides effective problem-solving or general assistance to all levels of Admitting Services.
- Checks and rechecks all paperwork before it leaves the area for complete information and accuracy.
Requirements:
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Flexibility in scheduling to meet department needs.
Education/Certifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
Experience:
- Previous Admitting/Registration experience is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of medical insurance is preferred.
