Admitting Clerk - ER (Casual)

Hours of Job:

• Casual/PRN as needed (1st & 2nd shift)
• 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Duties and Key Responsibilities:

• Creates a positive impression for each patient, family member, visitor or staff while pre-admitting, admitting and/or registering, routing, or escorting patients, family, or visitors, serving as entity resource.
• Registers all visits as needed.
• In addition, obtains necessary signatures, completes paperwork, and distributes correctly.
• Acts as role model and provides effective problem-solving or general assistance to all levels of Admitting Services.
• Checks and rechecks all paperwork before it leaves the area for complete information and accuracy.

Requirements:

• Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Flexibility in scheduling to meet department needs.

Education/Certifications:

• High school graduate or equivalent.

Experience:

• Previous Admitting/Registration experience is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of medical insurance is preferred.
