Delivery Specialist

Compensation & Pay Pay Range: $11.13 - $18.00 per hour. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation may include annual or quarterly performance bonuses and premiums per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if criteria are met. Job Summary The Delivery Specialist will maintain and operate store vehicles to deliver parts and/or products to professional customers in a safe and efficient manner. This position also collects money on C.O.D. deliveries and picks up customer returns. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply. Essential Job Functions Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers safely and efficiently. Use delivery fleet management handheld devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, and complete daily vehicle inspections. Keep vehicles clean, maintained, and complete daily inspections prior to operating. Secure delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, handheld devices, and monies collected at all times. Pick up customer returns (new, warranty, cores, etc.) and fill out driver return slip. Communicate problems or special needs from customers to store management. Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or vehicle damage to the store manager immediately. Ensure fuel tank is filled and lock and secure vehicle at the end of the day. Clock in/out according to company policy. Perform additional duties as assigned, such as customer service, sweeping, general stocking and straightening stock, merchandising, running errands, handling core returns, checking in and putting up stock orders. Occasionally assist customers, serve as a cashier, and/or help with merchandising tasks when business dictates. Skills, Education, Knowledge, Experience, and Abilities Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences. Strong interpersonal communication skills. Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations. Driving record meeting the company’s 14/18‑point record system. Legal state driver’s license and meet company mandated driving eligibility requirements. Familiarity with automotive parts (desired). Ability to operate other light store equipment (desired).
