Job Summary The Flooring Estimator’s primary responsibility is to gather, assess, and estimate the cost of flooring projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare proposals and communicate with vendors for pricing. Create templates for jobs. Perform take‑offs and prepare proposals using estimating software and Microsoft Excel. Receive requests for estimating and gather necessary information such as plans, specifications, bid manuals, change orders and revisions to projects in progress. Work independently, manage multiple assignments, and meet deadlines. Maintain regular and reliable attendance. Required Qualifications High School diploma, or 3+ years equivalent work experience. Proficient Excel experience is a must. Must enjoy working with numbers. Industry experience is a plus. Analytical thinker. Strong organizational and communication skills. Positive attitude. Self‑motivated with the ability to multitask, work with limited supervision, and meet deadlines. Collaborate with colleagues and team members to ensure effective communication and coordination of tasks; support a positive and productive work environment. Must be able to work in a team environment. Work Environment General working conditions include an office environment and may require working in hot or cold temperatures.
