Employee Relations Senior Manager

Vertex Pharmaceuticals seeks an Employee Relations Senior Manager to lead complex workplace investigations, serve as a strategic advisor to leadership and HR, and drive employee relations modernization. The role focuses on fostering a compliant, fair workplace while identifying and mitigating workforce risks.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage complex employee relations matters including harassment, discrimination, conduct, and retaliation cases
• Conduct thorough, objective investigations; gather evidence, interview parties, document findings and recommendations
• Partner with HR, Legal, Compliance, and business leaders to resolve sensitive employee matters
• Analyze employee relations data and trends; develop dashboards and reporting for organizational insights
• Interpret and apply company policies while identifying gaps and recommending enhancements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Psychology, Organizational Development, or related field
• 8-12+ years progressive HR experience with minimum 3-5 years in employee relations
• Significant independent experience conducting complex workplace investigations
• Strong knowledge of employment law, workplace compliance, HR policies, and ER practices
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and handle highly sensitive situations
• Excellent interviewing, analytical, investigation, and report-writing skills
• Exceptional judgment and ability to manage confidential information
