Local Contract Nurse RN - ICU - Intensive Care Unit - $65-70 per hour

HealthTrust Workforce Solutions Regional is seeking a local contract nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a local contract nursing job in Anchorage, Alaska.

Job Description & Requirements

• Shift: 12 hours, days, nights

Must have : 

· Experience with EPIC

· Independently manage intubated patients and titrate pressors

Preferred or nice to have : 

· 1 yr of experience recovering open heart surgeries <12 hr. post op

List typical procedures performed on unit(s):   

· Intubation, art line insertion, chest tube insertion, central line insertion

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:

· RN: RN LICENSE, BLS, ACLS

· ORT: BLS

Floating Area(s):

· Per union contract if unit is overstaffed travelers will float out to other departments first- MOU, CVSU, Ortho, Rehab or SPCU

About the unit:

· Number of Beds - 14

· Number of Staff – 8 RNs per shift

· Type of staff:

o Day Shift – 1 Charge RN plus7-8 Staff RNs

o Night Shift – same as days

· Patient Ratios – 2:1, 1:1

· Type of equipment – Alaris IV pumps,

· EMR - EPIC
