Senior Business Analyst

Job Overview:Provides expertise and systems support in the development and enhancement of business systems to deliver new or improved products for clients, as well as effective planning, reporting, and analytical tools for internal functions.Essential Functions:Under general direction, formulate and define system scope and objectives based on user needs and a strong understanding of applicable business systems and requirementsAnalyze business and user needs, document requirements, and translate them into clear and accurate system requirement specificationsDevise or modify procedures to solve complex business and system problems, considering system capacity, limitations, operating time, and desired outcomesEvaluate the business implications of applying technology to current and future business environmentsProvide guidance and mentoring to less‑experienced Business Systems AnalystsPerform work at a high technical level across most phases of systems analysis, ensuring alignment with business objectives and enterprise standardsLead end‑to‑end requirements definition for client implementations and migrations, translating contractual scope and client needs into detailed, IQVIA‑standard Business Requirements DocumentsDefine and execute data validation strategies, including file‑level, record‑level, and column‑level checks, reconciliation logic, and exception handlingParticipate in client working sessions, design reviews, and status meetings, providing clear functional guidance and risk identificationClearly communicate requirements, impacts, and status to stakeholdersServe as a client‑facing functional expert during onboarding, testing, go‑live, and post‑implementation supportQualifications:RequiredBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or equivalent relevant experienceMinimum five (5) years of systems analysis experienceKnowledge of business‑wide applications, including third‑party software and internal operational systemsDemonstrated ability to understand client and business requirements, as well as underlying infrastructure applications, systems, and processesStrong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skillsPreferredExperience supporting IQVIA client‑facing applications and productsThorough knowledge of IQVIA data assets and current systemsAbility to collaborate effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholdersIQVIA is a leading global provider of clinical research services, commercial insights and healthcare intelligence to the life sciences and healthcare industries. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time).
