NEW Solutions connects experienced workers (ages 55+) with the National Park Service (NPS). These experienced professionals provide administrative expertise, facilities management, natural and cultural resource planning, and a broad array of other professional skills that support the National Park Service through the Experienced Services Program (ESP).

Qualifications:

BA/BS Degree

• Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Teams, MS Outlook

Duties:

Enrollee serves as a Program Management Analyst for the Lewis and Clark NHT, National Park Service (NPS), supporting the NPS in carrying out the National Trails System Act. Enrollee will provide organizational and management analyst, staff mentoring and staff team development for the Lewis and Clark NHT and other trails within the purview of the Superintendent. This position will provide support for the development of trail staff and projects, as appropriate.

• Analyze and report on LECL, IATR, and NOCO trails operations to help inform management of the needs of staff and the trail partners. 25%
• Provide support and professional guidance on trail actions. Assist with mentoring and training trail staff in team collaboration and project management 40%
• Provide support and expertise in the development of a more collaborative and productive team. Includes discussions with staff and stakeholders. 35%

• Training needed to use a government computer
• Overnight travel: Several trips of up to one week may be required
• Air travel anticipated: Several trips to the trails
