Description The Accounting Clerk supports the daily operations of the Finance Department at Hyatt Regency Lisle and assists the Corporate Finance Team in maintaining accurate financial records and strong internal controls. Essential Functions Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable Support Process vendor invoices, verify coding and approvals, and prepare batches for payment. Assist with billing clients, applying payments, and supporting credit approval processes. Help monitor aging reports and perform collection follow-up as directed. Maintain organized, accurate A/P and A/R documentation (electronic and physical). Cash Handling & Reconciliation Assist with daily credit card and cash reconciliation. Verify deposits and prepare supporting paperwork for review. Support weekly and monthly bank reconciliation tasks. General Accounting Tasks Enter and update accounting transactions within the general ledger system. Assist with preparing journal entries as assigned. Maintain organized financial documentation, reports, and audit files. Support monthly inventory reconciliations and ensure documentation accuracy. Month-End & Reporting Assistance Assist with gathering and preparing month-end supporting documents. Run and distribute routine financial reports. Provide support for tax packets, audit requests, and compliance documentation. Department Support Communicate with hotel leaders regarding invoice status, payments, and financial inquiries. Assist with general administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and data entry. Support the Finance Department in maintaining compliance with hotel procedures and internal controls. Supporting Functions Assist with basic financial analysis or data review as needed. Support special projects or assignments from the Finance team. Perform other duties as required to support smooth hotel operations. In accordance with Illinois law, the anticipated pay range for this position is: $22-25 per hour. The final offer will be based on factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, education, internal equity, and market conditions. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Availability Hyatt Regency Lisle operates 24/7. This position primarily works Monday–Friday , with occasional flexibility needed during month-end periods, audits, or special projects.
