The main responsibilities of the Accounting Clerk will be to answer, transfer and deflect phone calls. Process AP and AR in accordance with accounting guidelines.
Responsibilities of the Accounting Clerk role will include:
- Act as initial contact with all customers and other guests by preson or phone. Handle all telephone calls incoming obtaining name and regarding the purpose of the call
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions including accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Assist in posting daily customer cash receipts and posting various vendor bills to the accounting system
- Process invoices, receipt, payments and other financial documents
- Communicate with customers and vendors in a courteous and professional manner to resolve issues and reconcile accounts
- Manage the company's email account, responding to inquiries or forwarding messages to the appropriate department
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and scheduling appointments or meetings as needed
- Previous 1+ year of experience in accounting or bookkeeping or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong math skills
- Ability to communicate in English
- HS Diploma or equivalent
