Step into a rewarding contract position supporting students as a Special Education Teacher in a dynamic school environment near New Britain, CT. This opportunity is ideal for professionals passionate about making a difference with learners of diverse needs and backgrounds across all age groups. Multiple positions are available to cover FMLA leaves, each lasting approximately two months, with options for extension or transition into other roles as needs arise.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Connecticut Special Education Teacher License (and any required certifications)
- Experience or strong interest in special education across varied grade levels
- Adaptability and commitment to supporting student growth
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with staff and families
- Willingness to work onsite
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and tailored instruction to students with special needs following IEPs
- Develop and implement lesson plans that accommodate individual learning styles and abilities
- Monitor and document progress, adapting strategies as necessary
- Collaborate with co-teachers, support staff, and administrators for student success
- Participate in team meetings and contribute insight regarding student development
