This position is also not eligible for work authorization sponsorship.Position Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Product Owner with strong domain expertise to drive product strategy, requirements, design, and innovation for solutions serving business stakeholders across Royal Caribbean Group. Reporting to the Senior Product Manager, this role is responsible for owning one or more critical products and/or product components from inception through delivery.The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, cross-functional Product Owners, Architects, and Engineers to define product vision, prioritize requirements, and ensure successful execution. This role requires strong leadership, collaboration, organizational, and communication skills, along with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Product Strategy & OwnershipLead product definition activities in partnership with business stakeholders and internal teams.Leverage industry expertise and domain knowledge to identify innovative and differentiating product features.Define and contribute to the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) aligned with business objectives and strategic goals.Champion the product vision and roadmap throughout the product lifecycle.Advocate for customer and business needs in all product decisions.Backlog & Requirements ManagementCreate, manage, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog.Develop and oversee product requirements documentation, user stories, and acceptance criteria.Collaborate with engineering teams to clarify requirements and address technical trade-offs.Ensure features are prioritized based on business value, customer impact, and organizational goals.Stakeholder CollaborationPartner with business stakeholders, architects, engineers, designers, and other Product Owners to define and deliver solutions.Facilitate discussions on medium to complex business challenges and drive alignment among stakeholders.Communicate planned functionality, product enhancements, and delivery progress effectively.Product Innovation & Continuous ImprovementStay current with industry, market, and operational trends.Identify opportunities for product enhancements and process improvements.Gather feedback from users, stakeholders, and competitive market analysis to inform product decisions.Drive continuous improvement of product management, testing, and delivery processes.Operational ExcellenceManage multiple concurrent initiatives while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards.Adapt effectively to changing priorities within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field; equivalent experience considered.5+ years of experience in Product Ownership, Product Management, Product Definition, or related discipline.Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC).Proven experience collaborating with cross-functional technical and business teams.Experience with backlog management tools such as Jira, or similar platforms.Key Competencies:Customer EmpathyMaintains a customer-first mindset in product strategy and decision-making.Connects customer needs to measurable business outcomes.Champions customer-focused innovation and continuous improvement.Product Health & QualityEstablishes and promotes best practices for product development and governance.Ensures successful implementation and ongoing improvement of product processes.Drives quality, testing, and operational excellence initiatives.Software Product ManagementLeads product visioning, planning, prioritization, and execution.Serves as a trusted expert and advocate for assigned products.Drives development of new capabilities and product enhancements.Business & Domain ExpertiseDemonstrates deep understanding of product functionality, implementation, and business processes.Anticipates evolving business needs and opportunities.Translate complex business requirements into practical solutions.Provides thought leadership on product capabilities and future direction.Leadership & ExecutionExceptional organizational and prioritization skills.Ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.Capable of operating independently with minimal supervision.Knowledge & Skills:Product backlog management and prioritizationRequirements gathering and documentationAgile methodologies and Scrum practicesCross-functional stakeholder managementTechnical acumen and engineering collaborationData-driven decision makingStrong written and verbal communication skillsAttention to detail and execution excellenceThis role is ideal for a Product Owner who combines strategic thinking, domain expertise, and hands-on execution to deliver impactful products and exceptional customer experiences.Agency and Third-Party Submissions: Please note this is a direct search by the Company, and applications through agencies and other third parties will not be accepted, nor will fees be paid for unsolicited resumes.
