Chicago - Employee Benefits Associate

Position Overview The Chicago office of Kirkland & Ellis is currently seeking associates with outstanding credentials to join our Employee Benefits practice group. Qualifications 1–4 years of experience with ERISA and employee benefits, including qualified plans, multi‑employer pension plans, health and welfare plans, and ACA compliance. M&A and/or restructuring experience within the employee benefits practice area. Experience in related areas such as tax or labor/benefits related advising, consulting, or accounting is also considered. Executive compensation experience, while helpful, is not the primary focus of this position. This practice group offers a collegial environment and the opportunity to become an expert in the ERISA and employee benefits field. Compensation Kirkland & Ellis LLP offers a competitive salary structure as well as a robust offering of benefits to all employees and attorneys. Compensation is based upon the roles and responsibilities of the position, the experience and education of the applicant and/or employee, and is aligned with internal pay equity.
