A leading Commercial Flooring Contractor is seeking an experienced Commercial Sales Professional to drive growth by developing new business, building lasting relationships, and providing flooring solutions to commercial customers.

The ideal candidate is a motivated sales professional with strong knowledge of commercial flooring products and the construction industry. This person will be responsible for identifying opportunities, developing relationships with general contractors, architects, designers, property managers, and end users, and guiding projects from initial opportunity through close. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with general contractors, architects, designers, property managers, facility managers, and commercial end users.
• Identify and pursue new commercial flooring opportunities.
• Generate leads through networking, cold calling, referrals, industry events, and existing relationships.
• Prepare proposals, quotes, and presentations tailored to customer needs.
• Meet or exceed sales and gross-profit goals.
• Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents to identify flooring opportunities.
• Coordinate with estimating, project management, operations, and installation teams to ensure a smooth transition from sale to execution.
• Present flooring products, systems, and solutions to customers and project stakeholders.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline and accurately track opportunities and follow-ups.
• Negotiate pricing and contract terms while protecting company profitability.
• Stay current on commercial flooring products, manufacturers, installation methods, and industry trends.
• Develop account strategies to increase sales with existing customers.
• Attend job walks, project meetings, trade shows, and networking events as needed.
• Resolve customer concerns professionally and maintain strong relationships throughout and after project completion.
• Consistently represent the company with professionalism, integrity, and a customer-first approach.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial flooring sales experience preferred.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
• Strong knowledge of commercial flooring products, including LVT, VCT, carpet tile, broadloom, sheet vinyl, rubber, resilient flooring, and related products.
• Established relationships within the commercial construction or flooring industry preferred.
• Understanding of commercial construction processes, plans, specifications, and project timelines.
• Strong negotiation, presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage a sales territory.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM/sales-management software.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory.

Preferred Experience

• Existing book of business within commercial flooring or construction.
• Experience selling to general contractors, architects, designers, healthcare, education, hospitality, corporate, retail, or other commercial markets.
• Experience with flooring takeoffs, estimating, or construction bids.
• Knowledge of prevailing commercial flooring specifications and industry standards.
• Experience developing strategic accounts and long-term customer partnerships.
