Maxim Healthcare Services is seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the Hanover, PA area. As a DSP, you will play a vital role in helping individuals live safely, independently, and meaningfully within their communities.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care and support to individuals in their homes and community settings
• Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and light housekeeping
• Support individuals with community engagement, recreation, and social activities
• Promote independence while maintaining a safe and supportive environment
• Transport clients to appointments, activities, and community outings as needed
• Document services and report any concerns to supervisors according to company policies
• Maintain professional relationships with clients, families, and team members

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Valid driver's license required
• Must have a reliable personal vehicle available for work-related transportation
• Proof of current auto insurance
• Ability to pass required background screenings
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Previous caregiving, DSP, home care, healthcare, or human services experience is preferred but not required
