Position Overview

• Job Type: Full-time, Temp-to-Hire

• Pay Rate: $27.00 - $30.00 / hour

• Location: Ontario, CA

Our client is a premier worldwide supplier to the aerospace and industrial gas turbine markets, holding quality accreditations for all major airframe and engine manufacturers across both civil and military applications.

At the Ontario, CA facility, they specialize in the rough and finish machining of super alloys for the aerospace, commercial, defense, power, and petroleum industries. Complex components include nickel base, titanium, stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steels, with parts ranging in size from 2" OD to 120" OD.

This position supports multiple shifts depending on business needs. The selected individual will train on the 1st shift for approximately 3 months, or until they can safely demonstrate the ability to perform the job with minimal intervention. Shift premiums will apply upon transitioning to permanent hire.

• 1st Shift: 4:15 AM - 12:45 PM (Monday - Friday)

• 2nd Shift: 12:15 PM - 8:45 PM (Monday - Friday)

• 3rd Shift: 8:15 PM - 4:45 AM (Sunday - Thursday)

• Note: Split shifts may also be utilized based on operational needs.

The Level 3 Machinist operates multiple 2-5 axis CNC lathe machines simultaneously. This role requires comprehensive machine setup, including preparing and setting up fixtures and cutting tools, loading and adjusting CNC programs and offsets, performing inspections, and executing basic preventative machine maintenance (such as coolant/lube levels and area cleanliness).

• Utilize advanced quality inspection tools and techniques.

• Demonstrate intermediate-to-advanced blueprint reading.

• Apply experience working with common CNC G and M codes.

• Maintain a foundational understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required.

• Experience: 5+ years of dedicated machinist experience is required.

• Preferred: Prior experience in aerospace manufacturing, automotive, or heavy mechanics.

• On-Site Practical Assessment: Candidates selected for an interview will be required to complete an on-site hands-on machine test to demonstrate their technical setup and machining experience.

This position requires the use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to, the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)). To comply with those regulations, this position may require applicants to be U.S. Persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, U.S. lawful permanent residents, protected individuals as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)), or eligible to obtain the required export authorizations from the U.S. Department of State or the U.S. Department of Commerce.
